Gary Thomas Dodson

Gary Thomas Dodson, 10/22/1964 - 8/30/2018. Passed away as a result of injuries following an auto accident. Gary is survived by children Tori & Bane Dodson, loving parents Barney & Beverly Dodson, sisters Jill (Chad) Smock, Linda (Anthony) Tempesta, nieces & nephews Lexi & Nick Smock, Domenic & Luca Tempesta, and former spouse Melanie (Dodson) Ciotti. Preceded in death by niece Marisa Smock and grandmother Rachel Bernhardt.

Gary graduated from Dublin High School. He was a self employed contractor, custom home builder and real estate developer along with his father (Barney Builders/ Dodson Construction). He enjoyed many overseas trips serving as consultant/contractor for Hollister Co. and many other retailers. His passions throughout his life include: skiing, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, horseback riding (sometimes in places he shouldn't have been riding), snowmobiling, and restoring and custom painting racing and luxury cars. Gary was a fun loving, thrill seeking, talented guy who could talk to anyone and would do anything for a friend. He left his impression everywhere he went and he will be missed. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Allergy & Asthma Foundation of America (aafa.org) , Lifeline of Ohio (lifelineofohio.org) or Heartland High School (heartlandhighschool.org) .

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held Tuesday September 4th at La Scala Italian Bistro (4199 W Dublin Granville Rd) from 6-8pm.
