Evelyn Marie Jorgensen, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Born in Chicago on January 31, 1924, she spent the majority of her childhood in Fountain, Michigan before meeting her husband, Ken, and settling in Columbus, Ohio to raise their three children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ken; son, Donald; son-in-law, Hugo Villegas; and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Sylvia Villegas and David (Karen) Jorgensen; daughter-in-law, Donna Jorgensen; grandchildren, Gabriela (Stuart Gilpin) Villegas, Michelle (Tim) Harmon, Jessica Jorgensen, and Keith (Sonja) Jorgensen; and great-grandchildren, Lauren, Isabel, Ian, Ali, Ethan and Eli. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Lakeview Crossing Assisted Living Facility and Heartland Hospice for making her final days so peaceful and comfortable. Services will be private.
