Dr. Robert W. Brannon, age 90, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. He was born September 23, 1928 in Roseville Ohio to William McKinley and Mabel Stine Brannon. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Barbara (Hughes) Brannon; sisters, Marcy, Jane and brother Richard. He is survived by his children, Byron (Karen) Brannon, Barbara Brannon and Suzanne (Richard) Rapp; granddaughters, Jaime (Jon) Simmons and Brannon Rapp; as well as his brother, Thomas (Georgene) Brannon and brother-in-law, Roderick (Susan) Hughes, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob served as a physician in the Air Force stationed in Paris, France, where he was the base ping-pong champion. Upon return to the states, the family settled in Delaware, Ohio and later lived in Columbus, Upper Arlington, Hilliard and Dublin. He retired from practice with Columbus OB/GYN, where he delivered thousands of Central Ohio babies and was beloved by his patients.
Friends may call from 1-3 pm Saturday, November 17th at the Safari Golf Club, 4850 Powell Road, Powell Ohio 43065, which is across from the main entrance of the Columbus Zoo.
