David W. Johnson

David W. Johnson, Sr., age 78, passed away February 28, 2018.  He was born in Columbus on July 29, 1939 to the late James and Ellen Johnson.  Dave retired from Kroger Bakery after 37 years.  After retirement, he drove school buses for Westerville and Licking Heights Schools.  Dave was an active member of Pataskala Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing and building and flying radio controlled airplanes in which he was also a member of the Westerville Model Aeronautics Association. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Johnson.  He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Fran Johnson; children, David Johnson, Lora Rodgers, Greg Johnson, Mark (Kelly) Johnson and Richard (Natalie) Johnson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly (Bill) Reed and Arna (Les) King; brothers, Jim (Vickie) Johnson and Tom (Martha) Johnson; many other relatives and friends.  Friends may call Sunday from 1-4 at Pataskala Church of the Nazarene, 8100 Hazelton Etna Road SW where a Funeral Service will take place Monday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Ohio Alzheimer’s Association, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
