Dear Don and family, I was truly blessed to know Colleen. We worked together at Buckeye Bargains. In the few years that I knew her, she taught me so much about life. I will remember her always.

Colleen’s memory will stay with us for a long time. She was always the most graceful and loving person on every occasion; shining her charm and warmness to all around her.
We are very sorry to see to her passing and hope that Don may find peace together with their children.
With fond memories, Seppo and Terttu

Don, Kelle, Kerri, and Josh,
I was very fortunate to meet Colleen during my time studying under Don at OSU and after. My first trip to Europe was with Don and Colleen, which I will always fondly recall. Colleen was one of the nicest people I have met and was great to see how well the Colleen-Don partnership worked in raising a great family. Our deepest thoughts go out to you.

Paulette and I Katie and AT are so sad about learning of the passing of Colleeen. She was one of the kindest and most gentle persons we have met. She was always positive and everyone always felt good being around her. When we would get together our kids knew there may be a book in the mix and they always wondered what that book was. Colleen was our babysitter for Katie when Paulette went to the orthodontist. She always asked how the kids were doing as they grew into adulthood. I remember always seeing her with Don at OSU basketball games-always laughing and happy to be there. Simply put, we will miss her dearly. We will be donating to the Women's Club in Colleen's honor. Our Family will not forget Colleen Houser.

Colleen never hid her light under a bushel. She set her light on the hilltop for all to see. And her actions were seen and felt and treasured by so, so many! As a tribute to Colleen may we be inspired to love as Jesus did, to challenge wrongs , to cheer and support our loved ones ... and teams, to pray and trust God,
to serve all ... Our love goes out to all who loved Colleen.

To the Collins family, I am sorry to hear of Colleen's passing. Aunt Bea was always so good to me and I am sure she passed that on with all the good things I read about Colleen. Remember all the good memories back to Scoop, Bea & the Mahoney family. Best adopted cousins I could have ever had with the Collins family. Sounds like Colleen had a wonderful family from what I followed on Caring Bridge.

Don, thank you for stepping our of your own grieving to let me know that our dear Colleen has moved into life after life. How well you know her belief in that. How well you practice the same kind of thoughtfulness as Colleen would. Truly, you complemented one another. I have no e mail address so my loving thoughts will arrive by post. Having met your precious children at Bea's funeral and seeing the tender care they showed to their mom then, I've no doubt that their loss these days is immeasurable, too. I hope each recognizes that Colleen's precious spirit lives on in their own kindness, generosity, care and zest for life that has been just part of her legacy to them.
