Cheryl Riga Obituary

Cheryl A. Riga, born July 10, 1946 passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2018. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry M. Riga; parents, Milton & Irene Love and sister, Denise M. Love Thompson. Survived by daughters Kimberly (Martin) Turner, Tina (Brian) Scheltz, grandson Jacob Scheltz, sister Michelle Gest, 4 caring bonus children & 9 bonus grandchildren, plus the wonderful extended Riga family. Cheryl was also blessed to have amazing support from OhioHealth Hospice, her friends from Visiting Angels of Central Ohio and outstanding neighbors. Her daughters will fondly remember her affinity for always including a “Roses are Red, Violets are Blue” poem in every school lunch and special occasion card they received, as well as her many efforts to pull off the perfect April Fool’s Day joke. And all who knew her will remember her meticulous housekeeping skills, which were second to none! Per her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Friends who would like to may donate in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
