Catherine (Canty) Adkins

Catherine J. Adkins (Canty), age 78, formerly of Columbus, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018 in Kissimmee, Fl.  She was born March 26, 1940 in Columbus, Oh to the late John and Mary Canty.  Member of the Daughters of Erin.  Big fan of Ohio State and Notre Dame football.   Preceded in death by former husband Joel; sisters, Margaret (Carl) Diefenbach and Mary Ellen (Ron) Adolph; sister-in-law, Betty Canty; brother-in-law, George Dine.  Survived by son, Brian Adkins; siblings, John Canty, Patty Ann Canty, Eileen Dine, Rita Theresa (Greg) Purnell, Michael Thomas (Liz) Canty and Alice (Steve) Williams; cousin, Margaret (Gene) Bruckert; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  Friends may call Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception, 414 East North Broadway.  Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
