Beatrice (Ruf) Mixter

Beatrice M. Mixter, age 90, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her home in Columbus. Born Beatrice Ruf in Basel, Switzerland, she came to this country in 1950. Wherever she lived, and whatever she touched, she made better. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emeritus Professor Keith E. Mixter of OSU’s School of Music; her parents Oskar Ruf and Maria Ruf-Ruenzi; her brother Markus Ruf; and her son Thomas Mixter. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Christian Mixter and Linna Barnes, MD, Constance and Stephen Caruso, OH, Sherri Mixter, OH, and Stephen and Lisa Mixter, OH, grandmother of Sara, Laura, Jeffrey, Amy, and Amanda, grandmother-in-law of Michelle, and great-grandmother of Avery. Her funeral service will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 9 a.m. at Christ Church Anglican, 43 West Fourth Avenue, Columbus.
