Beloved husband, father and uncle, Albert E. Still, Jr., age 73, died August 4, 2017 in Water Valley, Mississippi. Former resident of Columbus, Ohio, Albert proudly served and retired from the U.S. Navy. Albert sacrificed for us all by serving on the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier for 10+ years and as a shore patrol Military Police in Japan. Albert was an avid story teller and enjoyed making others laugh and smile. His generosity had no bounds. He shared his blessings and knowledge of scripture to all. He was a lover of all animals. Albert believed and lived in the moment and brought happiness to all that had the honor and pleasure of knowing him. We believe that Albert’s passing is another voyage for him as he was a great US NAVY sailor. In the words of poet John Masefield: “I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by”. Albert is survived by wife Ann Still; daughter Bonita Still and her mother Yoneko Still; nieces, nephews and cousins including Bonnie (Dan) Bowes, John (Angel) Still, Edward (Lori) Still, Larry (Suzie) Snow and Mary Louise (Carl) Wright. A Memorial Service is on Saturday August 19, 2017 @ 10 a.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad St. Friends, who wish, may contribute in his memory to: Military Veterans Resource Center, www.milvetsrc.org
