God hath not promised
Skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways
All our lives through;
God hath not promised
Sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow,
Peace without pain.

But God hath promised
Strength for the day,
Rest for the labor,
Light for the way,
Grace for the trials,
Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy
Undying love…

Dear family, I am sorry for your loss. May each of you find comfort in knowing that God is "near to those that are broken at heart ;and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalms 34;18)

I have many memories of growing up with your family especially since my mother was a lifelong friend of your mother. They are probably all having a ball in heaven looking down with a protective eye on all of us.
It is so hard to bury your last parent. Our prayers go out to all of you for strength in the days ahead. I will always remember your mother''''s loving smile -she always was happy.
