Charles H. Jakeway,(The Captain), age 88, passed away peacefully Weds. July 25, 2012. Retired carpenter after 30 years service from Rickenbacker Air Force Base. Preceded in death by wife Helen Ann and brothers Stacey, Leo, Forrest, Deany, Roy, Ralph and Carl. Survived by children Chip (Mary), Dale (Cathy), Cathy (Pat) Ruth; grandchildren Chip Jakeway, Lindsay (Dan) Heinmiller, Lauren (Tim) Marcum, D.J., Trevor, Trent and Troy Jakeway, Ben and Brian Ruth; great granddaughter Stella Heinmiller; sister Juanita Robinson; brother-in-law Fritz (Mary Jane) Ritter; sister-in-law Jacqueline Fairbanks; nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday 2-6 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL, 4199 E. LIVINGSTON AVE. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 2777 E. Livingston Ave. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute in his memory to Christ the King Church.
