To the Family of Dr. Olix: I met Dr. Olix 43 years ago when it was discovered that my first born child might have a leg problem. It turned out she was born with a dislocated hip and after feeling sorry for myself and crying in his exam room, Dr. Olix comforted me and advised me that this problem could be corrected and that my sweet baby girl would have a normal wonderful life with no lasting effect. As my daughter grew up and danced and cheered, I thought of him many times. He also took care of my premature baby girl and confirmed that she did not have the same issue that her older sister had. I'm sure you have heard a lot of stories about your wonderful husband and father, he was indeed a "caring physician" to those of us who needed him. Thank you Dr. Olix for helping a young mom get through a tough time. I'm sure he was welcomed into heaven by His Heavenly Father.

To the family of Dr. Mel Olix. My wife and I were so very lucky to have Mel care for our son, Greg. He was diagnosed with structurally defective knees from birth, but we were totally unaware until his teen years. We always felt Greg was in the best hands for his condition. Mel's compassion for our situation was always appreciated. He always took as long as we needed to answer all our questions until we were comfortable with the situation, and for that, we are grateful. Over the many years and countless appointments, he always had that look in his eye that reassured us everything would be alright. What a wonderful, compassionate man that just happened to be a doctor and we thank the Lord he was there for our family!

Our condolences to you and your family for your loss...

George, Billie, and Greg Spencer
