Thomas W. Applegate, Jr. died February 4, 2018 at the age of 66. He was born on September 20, 1951 to the late Vivian (White) and Thomas Applegate. Tom graduated from Bishop Ready High School and attended Xavier University, Otterbein College and The Ohio State University. Tom was a talented singer in his younger years, the star of numerous high school musicals.   Despite his own life long battle with mental illness, Tom was a tireless advocate for others suffering from mental health issues.  In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his uncle, Msgr. Bennett Applegate, and nephew, Andrew.  Survived by siblings Patricia (Lou), Barbara, Peggy (Robert), Theresa, Martha, Susan (Brian), Ben (Sheila), Mary (Ed) and many nieces and nephews.
