Sr. Jeanne Marie Laufersweiler, OSF, died Sunday November 1, 2015 at St. Leo Convent, Columbus, OH.  Sister was born June 3, 1948.  She was a graduate of Bishop Hartley High School, Rosary Hill (Daemen) College B.S.Ed, Ohio Dominican College B.A. Psychology and Fordham University M.A. Pastoral Counseling. Sister entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity on September 8, 1967 and made her final profession on September 2, 1973 at St. Catharine Church, Columbus, Ohio.  Sister used her pastoral spirit to serve: St. Vincent Orphanage and St. Vincent Children’s Center, Columbus; St. Rose Parish, New Lexington; Church of the Resurrection, New Albany; Madison County Health Center, London; Community Pathfinders, Delaware; Southwest Community Health Agency, St. Francis Center Outreach Program, McArthur, and especially so at Big Laurel Learning Center, Naugatuck, West Va.  Sister will be greeted in heaven by her parents William and Mary Hughes Laufersweiler, step-mother Loretta Boyd Laufersweiler, twin sister Mary, brother and sister-in-law Joe and Judy, brother John, brother-in-law Klaus Hillmann, sister-in-law and nephew, Irma and Eric.  Left behind in wonder of her life are sisters and brothers Peggy (Tom) Farrow of Swanton OH, Nancy (Bill) Klemp of Oconomowoc, WI., Tish (Chuck) Baumann of Columbus, OH., Tom of St. Louis, MO., Ann Hillman of Hickory Creek, TX., Don of Columbus, OH., Dan (Patty) of Waynesville, OH., Gregg (Cheryl) of Derry, NH., sister-in-law Carol (Mike) Edwards of Columbus, OH., 31 favorite nieces and nephews, 51 very great nieces and nephews, 7 truly great-great nieces and nephews, the amazing Spirit-filled Sisters at St. Leo’s Convent and her additional Stella Niagra Franciscan Sisters. A special thanks is due Dr. Mark Segal and his angels at the Zangmeister Center. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday November 28, 2015, 10:00 a.m. St. Leo Church, 221 Hanford St., Columbus, OH.  Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.  Memorials may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis, 4421 Lower River Rd., Stella Niagara, NY 14144.
