Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Gladys Carmen Aragon died at ODU East Hospital, Columbus, OH on  Monday, August 14, 2017.      She was born in CienFuegas, Cuba in 1930 and in 1959 entered the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine de’Ricci, now the Dominican Sisters of Peace.

Sister earned a liberal arts degree from Barry University. She ministered on the Retreat Staff at the Dominican Retreat House in McLean, VA for over forty years. She also served on the Retreat Staff in at the Dominican Retreat in Albuquerque, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Reginaldo Aragon and Maria Caridad Aloma. She is survived by her sisters, Maria Teresa Aragon and Elsa Aragon.

Her body will be received at the Columbus Motherhouse on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. A Vigil of Remembrance Service will be held at 4:45 p.m. with the wake continuing until 7:00 p.m.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held at the Columbus Motherhouse, Wednesday, August 23, 2017  at 9:00 AM,  followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery by EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street.
