Sonji Lou Herzberg, age 85, passed away September 25, 2017.  He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on January 5, 1932.  He graduated from Bellaire High School and then received his Bachelors Degree from Kent State University where he was captain of the football team.  Lou served in the Army Corps of Engineers. He worked as a registered architect for 40 years.  He was a member of Christ the King Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Estella Herzberg.  Lou is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Gonot Herzberg; sons, Marcus (Abbi), Aaron (Monica) and Erick (Kathleen); grandchildren, Alexander, Sarah, Ethan, Hannah, Aidan and Adalynn.  Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street, where a Prayer Service will begin at 4:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 2777 East Livingston Avenue.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
