Mildred A. Bennett of Whitehall, Ohio passed away on April 14, 2018. Millie was a proud Irish gal born in Bayville, Long Island, NY July 3, 1924, to Thomas F. and Mary A (Wynne) Curry. Millie was preceded in death by: son Timothy (1961), husband William F. (1973), sister Dorothy Symancyk, brothers Robert and Richard and daughter-in-law Mary Bennett (2013). Millie is survived by son, Robert (Joyce Minor), grandchildren, Dawn Bennett, Robert Bennett (Jenna), Great-grandchildren: Jaren, Grayson, Garrett and Charli Weller and Zeke, Beau, Lucy and RJ Bennett. Also her great friend Bob Crossman and many nieces and nephews. Millie was a 66+ year parishioner of Holy Spirit Parish, member of Happy Spirits, Euchre club, local Senior groups. An avid bowler for decades, ping pong player, excellent swimmer, great scrabble player, crossword puzzle daily, bridge/euchre anytime, loved to read (thanks Carol), enjoyed classical music, and always knew her location 7pm to 8pm (Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune.) Millie was a legal secretary for many years, incredible typist, trained in shorthand. She enjoyed time with the family, neighbors, travels, cooking, mowed her own lawn, landscaping/plants. Friends may call Wednesday April 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. Broad St. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 11 am, Holy Spirit Church, 4383 E. Broad Street, Whitehall, OH. 43213 Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Holy Spirit School.
