Mary Josephine Crist, age 83, passed away July 17, 2016.  She was born in Columbus on August 19, 1932 to the late Jess L. and Josephine Amsbaugh.  Mary Jo was a proud graduate of St. Joseph Academy.  She was a teacher, a LPN at Children’s Hospital and a marvelous square dancer with the Bucks and Does.  Mary Jo was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Crist; son, Thomas Crist; grandson, James E. Crist and brother-in-law Bob Wittkamp .  She is survived by sons, Lawrence (Sandy) Crist and Michael (Ging Ging) Crist; daughter-in-law Kitty Crist; grandsons, Collin, Raven and Nathan Crist; sister, Rosie Wittkamp; nieces, Marie (Mark) Jacobs, Julie (John) Fox, Kathy Wittkamp and Lori (Dann) Wagner; numerous great-nieces, cousins and friends.  Friends may call Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road where a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30  a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 414 East North Broadway.  Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Donations may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
