Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Plank, age 90, passed away on November 24, 2015. Owner of Plank’s Cafe. Longtime member of St. Catharine Parish where she was active in the Housewives Choir. She was also a loyal member of the Buckeye Boosters for many years. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter H. Plank and sister, Joan Duffy. Survived by children, Carol (John) Jackson, Tom (Carol) Plank, Jane (Kurt) Varga, Mary (Jim) Underwood, Julie Plank and John (Heidi) Plank; grandchildren, Tom (Jess) Jackson, Michael (Caroline) Jackson, Katie (John) Furrey, Jeff Varga, John Varga, Matthew Plank, Tim Plank, and Jenna Plank; great-grandchildren, Liam Jackson, Luke Jackson, Sophia Petritsch, and Helena Petritsch; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Don) Kelley and Marilyn Plank; many nieces, nephews, and friends, including employees of Plank’s Cafe. Mary loved her faith. She had great wisdom, gave wonderful advice, and was very supportive of all her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family, including her summers at Indian Lake, where she enjoyed winning a card game or two. Friends may call Friday from 3-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catharine Church, 500 South Gould Road. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers at Mt. Carmel East and The Wexner Heritage Village. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Catharine School, 2865 Fair Avenue or to the Priest Retirement Fund, c/o The Diocese of Columbus, 198 East Broad Street.
