Mary Veronica (Doherty) Adamkosky

Mary Veronica (Doherty) Adamkosky, 96, died February 3, 2018, at Wesley Ridge Retirement Community. Ronnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Walter V. Adamkosky, her parents, George F. and Mary Veronica Doherty, and her brothers, George and Jack Doherty. Ronnie was born in New York City on February 25, 1921, and never completely lost her New York "accent." She loved knitting, bingo, Wii bowling, and all things Irish. She showed her quick wit by often having a joke to pass along. Ronnie will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Veronica (Jerry) McMenemy, Mary Ellen (Denny) Parker, Walter (Christine) Adamkosky, and Michael Adamkosky, 8 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Catharine Church, 500 S. Gould Rd. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery.  The family would like to thank Wesley Ridge and Hospice for their fine care of our mother.
