John went home to heaven on Friday, October 6, 2017 surrounded by his family.  Preceded in death by his father, William Howard; mother, Hazel and brother, Jim.  Survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret; two sons, John (Terry) and Ron (Lori); one daughter, Jackie (Mike) Perry; dog, Roxie; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.  John loved to travel and loved his family to join him on his travels.  He liked to fish, do puzzles and the crossword puzzles in the paper daily.  John graduated from Aquinas College High School in 1955 and retired from Lucent in 2002.  Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road where a Prayer Service will begin at  7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9571 North High Street.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.
