John T. McGovern, age 56, passed away April 24, 2017 from complications he endured from an automobile accident.  He was born on August 31, 1960 to John and Loretta Sue McGovern.  He was the best damn transmission mechanic man in the land having worked many years for AAMCO and Cottman.  He enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycle riding, taking his dog, Lilah, to the dog park and spending time with his children and wife.  He is preceded in death by his father, John McGovern.  He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sue McGovern (Queen); children Patrick and Ryan McGovern; mother, Loretta Susie McGovern; sister, Michele Owens; brother, Daniel McGovern; his children’s mother, Patricia (Greg) Marcum; nieces Amy Doddy and Cate Owens; his dog Lilah; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Friends may call Saturday from 10am-12 pm at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, 403 East Broad Street where a Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m.  Private burial to follow at a later date.
