John “Bud” L. Bohan, age 92, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.   Born August 31, 1924 in Chicago, IL the proud Irish son of the late John and Elizabeth (Buckley) Bohan, immigrants from County Cork, Ireland. Veteran World War II, US Marines.   A life-long Chicago sports fan who waited 92 years for the Cubs to win the World Series.  John, a gracious gentleman, will be sorely missed by his family and friends especially for his outgoing personality and his sense of humor.   Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Eileen (Gallagher); brother Kevin and sister Margaret.  Long time resident of Upper Arlington and member of St. Andrew Parish for 60 years where he served as an usher.  He was a manufacturer’s sales representative for multiple companies.  Survived by his children, Gerald “Jerry” (Jean), Patricia “Patti” and Kevin (Lisa); grandchildren,   Michael (Megan), Kevin and Ryan, numerous relatives and friends.  Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7th   at Egan Ryan Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio  43220.  A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 8th.  Private interment will be at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in his memory to their favorite charity.   The family wishes to thank the staff at Danbury and Capital City Hospice for their fine care and service.  Visit www.egan-ryan.com for messages or condolences.
