Joan L. Alford, age 91, passed away suddenly on May 14, 2017.   Joan was born in Kirklin, Indiana, the 10th of 12 children of the late Lewis and Alice Myers.  She was very active in the Dublin community having served on the Dublin School Board.  Joan was also active with the Foundation for Hospital Art and volunteered for numerous school and Dublin Community Church organizations.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bob, parents, and 11 siblings.  She is survived by children, Rhonda (Mark) Johnson, Denise (John) Orr, Dennis (Jenny) Alford; grandchildren, Collin and Alyssa Johnson.  Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday June 3rd at Dublin Community Church, 81 W. Bridge St. Dublin, OH 43017, where friends may call starting at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by EGAN-RYAN NORTHWEST CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in her memory to Dublin Community Church Abiding Memorial Fund (www.dublincommunitychurch.org) or the Foundation for Hospital Art (www.hospitalart.org).
