Jane Grant, 83, died peacefully March 24th, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. A fiercely independent no nonsense working woman, who raised a daughter on her own, Jane worked through the ranks of Huntington National Bank, ultimately helping establish the international banking division. She kept a sparkling home, loved old movies and a good golf game, all the while putting others ahead of herself. More adventuresome than she portrayed, she traveled to and worked at Mount Rainier in an era before interstate highways. Jane always had a twinkle in her eye when she spoke of the mountains. Predeceased by mother and father, Florence and James McNary and beloved brother James McNary, all of Mechanicsburg Ohio. She leaves a loving daughter and devoted son-in-law Kellie Grant and Gregg Hamilton, along with cherished niece Anna McNary Starr and caring friend Stacie Burns Smith. Also survived by sister Margaret Gautier of Midland Park NJ, brother and sisters-in-law William and Edie McNary of Columbus and Mary McNary of London OH. She will also be missed many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. The family expresses sincere thanks to the staff of the Wesley Glen Health Center and Hospice Services at Methodist Elder Care for making Jane feel safe and comfortable. A celebration of Jane’s life will be held May 13, 2-6 pm, at the Columbus Country Club.
