Wanted to let you know that my mother, Helen Short, was so sad to hear of the passing of her long time friend. Our mothers had been friends since nursing school. Your mother took my Mom to her doctor's appointments when she first developed wet macular degeneration. She was a wonderful lady and a true friend to my mother. My Mom isn't feeling too well these days so we didn't attend Helen's services but we were there in spirit. Condolences to you all on the loss of a beautiful lady.

Helen was my mentor in the nursery many years ago. She was kind, practical and I admired her faith in practice.

So sad to not have Helen down here with us any longer. As a young doctor her help and guidance in the Riverside nursery was invaluable. I can't remember ever seeing her not smiling and upbeat. And, when she worked for me everyone, patients, parents, and staff loved her. Bless her heart she never forgot to send me a birthday card on my birthday. I miss her but she certainly is welcome addition up there!

Mike & Tim : Annie and I send our deepest condolences on your Mom's passing. She has had a special place in our hearts ever since our children ( Steve, age 40, Tim, age 38, and Erin, age 35 ) were held and comforted by your Mom at Riverside Hospital when they were born all those years ago. Also, I'm sure you know that our Moms and Dads we're personal friend of YOUR Mom and Dad as well. She's
