Harlan Miller passed away Thursday August 10, 2017 at his residence .  Harlan was 91 years old, a WWII veteran, and a lifelong resident of Ohio.

He was born in 1926 in Portsmouth, Ohio, and upon graduation from high school, joined the Navy in 1944.  By joining the Navy, the 18-year-old had unwittingly chosen his first career.  He retired from the Navy in 1965.

Upon retirement from the Navy, he took a position with Doctors Hospital in Columbus, and retired as the head of Purchasing.

Harlan enjoyed his retirement traveling, playing golf, and following his beloved Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes.  He was devoted to his grandchildren, and spoiled them at every opportunity.

He was preceded in death by his wife Maureen Horgan Miller, and is survived by his three children, Daniel (Jane) Miller of Decatur, TX, Carl (Marie) Miller of Obetz, OH, and Margaret (Peggy) (John) Coffey of Columbus; 5  grandchildren. He will be missed  Private family service and entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
