Dominican Sister of Peace, Sister Elizabeth Anne Heery died at Mohun Health Care Center, Columbus, OH on Thursday, March 8, 2018 . She was born in 1934 in Astoria, LI, NY and in 1954 entered the congregation of St. Mary of the Springs, now the Dominican Sisters of Peace.

She was a LPN and worked in the St. Mary of the Springs Infirmary –Mohun Hall, Columbus, Ohio for twenty-five years, served at St. Francis/St. George Hospital in Cincinnati, and later worked in Supportive Services at St. Mary of the Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Heery and Elizabeth Kiernan Heery, her brothers, James, Anthony, and John, her sisters Mary Emslie and Kathleen Pitarra. She is survived by her brothers, Joseph, and Philip, her sister, Rita Churpita and many nieces and nephews.

A Vigil of Remembrance Service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 4:45 p.m. at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse Chapel, Columbus, Ohio with the wake continuing until 7:00 p.m.

The funeral liturgy will be held at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse, Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, March 15 at 9:00 AM,  followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery by Egan Ryan Funeral Home.
