Donna Marie Haddox

February 19, 1934 ~ August 10, 2016 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Donna Marie Haddox died peacefully, surrounded by family at Mayfair Village, Columbus, Ohio August, 10, 2016.  Born February 19, 1934, Columbus, Ohio. Growing up with six brothers she was affectionately known as the “Little Lady”by her father.  Donna graduated from St. Mary’s of the Springs High School in 1952 and married Jerome Haddox in 1958. They moved to Upper Arlington in 1968, where they raised their six children.  Donna was active in her children’s and community activities, notably: UA Swim Club treasurer, Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls. Donna was an involved member of St. Andrew Church, Elizabethan Guild, the Pin Ups Bowling Team, the Daughters of Erin, and the Shamrock Club. She supported the March of Dimes, The Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor, and the Salesian Missions. She was an avid fan of The Ladies of Longford, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Donna is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jerome (Jerry); father Francis (Doc); mother Mary; brothers Daniel and David; and sons Jeffrey and Jimmy.  She is survived by brothers; James, Lawrence, Michael and Francis (Hilda); sons Stephen (Vicki Palcich), Owen (Susan), and Eric (Kim Borem Hileman); daughters Michelle Schwartz (Ned) and Amy Kurz (Russ Howland); grandchildren, Jennifer (William Johnson), Kyle, Seth, Adam, Allison, Emily, Elizabeth, Amelia, Charlie and Margot. Great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Ashten, William, Adrian, and Karly; and numerous nieces and nephews and godchildren whom she loved dearly.  Friends may call 6-8 pm at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL 4661 Kenny Road Thursday Aug. 18. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:00 am St Andrew Church 1899 McCoy Road. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. Many thanks to the staff at Mayfair Village and the Kindred Hospice Team, who provided care and comfort to Donna this past year. In lieu of flowers, donations to www.salesianmissions.org are welcome.
