Hello, first I want to offer my deepest condolences for you loss. You do not know me, my name is Michael Wells and a friend of mine and I came upon the accident shortly after it happened. We were out visiting people from the church I go to, High Street Baptist Church. After we left the accident scene and I discovered who the person was who was in the accident, the Lord put it on my heart to reach out to the family to let them know they were in my thoughts and prayers. To the entire Bickel family and friends,
Although I had never had the pleasure of meeting this young man, from everything that I have read, he certainly was loved by many. Unfortunately, my husband and I were just minutes behind the accident. I prayed all day for him only to find out the unfortunate outcome. This young man certainly had a servant’s heart and was giving right up until the very end of his life. Continued prayers for you all!

Chuck's family and loved ones,
I am Shane Jacopin's Aunt Beth Ann. I have known Chuck for many many years, and as he is considered one of Angelique Jacopin's other "Sons" I became his "Aunt." I am so proud of the man that your son, Charles, became. I am even prouder that your sweet, dear boy called me his "Aunt."
I will never forget the first time I saw his fair-haired face when he was 9 or 10 nor the last time I saw it this past December. He was singing karaoke in a bar with Shane and Anthony, and stood up for a solo. It was silly Chuck-style antics. You would be proud of that bravery, too! He could not sing! That night was the last time I saw him but I will always hear three words, "Hello, Aunt Beth." I made my heart sing and it always will. He was really something special, not just to me, but to many.

I had the pleasure of serving with Charles in his last deployment to Iraq, he was a thoughtful and caring person and had the unique ability to make people feel better during those difficult times. He was a great Marine and freind and he will be sorely missed by those who knew him.
