Barbara Meister

Barbara Meister, age 65, passed away February 26, 2018.  She was born in Columbus on October 7, 1952 to the late Jack and Barbara Mason.  She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Sonny Meister; children, Sean (Tamra) Meister, Micah (Stephanie) Meister and Teresa Carson; many grandchildren, niece, brothers, Jack and Michael Mason.   She graduated from Ohio Dominican University where she received a B.S. in Library Science and then went on to Kent State University where she received a Masters Degree in Library Science.  Barbara was the Library Director at Ohio Christian University in Circleville for 9 years.  She loved her cats, book, arts, and music.  There are many fond family memories with Barb in bookstores, libraries and also of her playing the violin.  After many years of desiring to be Catholic, Barb was Baptized, Confirmed, received her First Holy Communion and received her Last Rights before she passed.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at St. Catharine Catholic Church, 500 South Gould Road. Private burial at a later date.
